Robyn Haines Cancer

Robyn has a fish pet named Chance. She says they met when Robyn was diagnosed with breast cancer — it marked her second chance at life. It did the same for Chance because she saved him from Wal-Mart.

When Robyn was diagnosed with breast cancer she was 27 years old, she was alone when she heard the news. From that moment on, she was never alone. Throughout the year followed, her friends, family, and her now-husband took turns using their vacation time and spending their weekends traveling from Ohio to hold her hand during chemo… and the dreaded days to follow. Robyn was a morning TV anchor in Michigan at the time and couldn’t use her arms much after her double mastectomy, so one friend spent an entire week with her, waking at 2 a.m. to dry her hair. After she was declared cancer-free, the love of her life proposed to her!. From that time Robyn has never been alone.
