Rubio is actually the 10th Spanish guy to play in the NBA. Rubio is estimated to be worth $8 million. At a young age of 14, Rubio started playing for the Spanish ACB League in 2005 and in 2006, he debuted on the Euroleague. In 2009, he was selected as the fifth overall pick by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round of the 2009 NBA Draft. He is actually the first player from the 90s to be selected as an NBA draft pick. In May 2011, he signed a deal with the Timberwolves to join the team in the 2011-2012 season.
At the end of the seasons, he came only second to Kyrie Irving of Cleveland Cavaliers in the Rookie of the year voting. He eventually played for the NBA basketball team the Utah Jazz.
