English former banker, Richard Sharp has an estimated net worth of around £200 million. Considering that he has been a banker who has held several top positions in his career so far, it is very understandable.
However, he has also donated quite a good amount of wealth to charity and government bodies. It was once reported that he gave more than £400,000 to the Conservative Party and £35,000 to the Quilliam think thank through his charity organization. Sharp Foundation.
Sharp also reportedly told the media that he would donate all his £160,000 salary to charity.
He began his career in JP Morgan where he worked for eight years. He also worked for Goldman Sachs for 23 years. He went from being a normal staff to becoming Chairman of its principal investment business in Europe, and eventually left the company in 2007.
From 2013 to 2019, Sharp served as a member of the Bank of England’s Financial Policy Committee. He also joined RoundShield – a property investment company – where he served as a senior member from 2014 to 2021.
