Welsh Comedian Rhod Gilbert recently shared that he has been receiving medical treatment for cancer at Velindre Cancer Centre in Cardiff, a hospital he has supported for over a decade. The comedian will be absent for a while to focus on his recovery.

He also stated that he has met and made friends with many inspirational patients, staff, and their families and that it has been a considerable part of his life for the past ten years. Gilbert also thanked his fans and loved ones for supporting him throughout his career.
