De Jong is a Dutch-born kickboxer and mixed martial artist from New Zealand who competes in heavyweight kickboxing, strongman, and professional wrestling. As a professional strongman champion of New Zealand, he has won the title twice. He has also participated in the K-1 Kings of Oceania tournaments in 2006 and 2007. Two national marks, in the farmer’s walk and stone lifting, are held by De Jong, as well as the Guinness World Record for sprinting through the most panes of glass in less than one minute. Another interesting fact about him is that he was signed to WWE in 2011 under the name Russell Walker, but was released the following year. De Jong is a television actor and stuntman who has appeared in a number of films, including Maddigan’s Quest, Legend of the Seeker, and Spartacus: Blood and Sand, in which he played Theokoles. In 2010, he made his professional wrestling debut and quickly rose to prominence as one of the most prominent performers in Impact Pro Wrestling, winning the IPW New Zealand Heavyweight Championship only two months after making his debut.
