The Illinois Republican’s spokesperson clarified later that Miller had intended to say the decision was a “victory for the right to life.” Miller has not since commented on the topic. According to her campaign, she is the grandmother of several nonwhite children and was watching the paper while giving the speech and had a moment of mistake.
