Pitbulls and Parolees ended the show with season 19 after 18 seasons of helping pit bulls due to changes on the network. Even Torres mentioned the network sold, and nothing would happen on Animal Planet for a long time.
Due to the Discovery Channel banner, some of the series on the channel suffered from budget cuts, and Pitbulls and Parolees are one of them. The show has aired on the network since 2009.
Tia Torres announced she would run her network to host the show. However, due to the Licensing issue, the show will return with a different name on Torres The Rabid Reality network.
The trailer of the final season had announced with the Saturday, October 22 episode on Aminal Planet. The family of Tia Torres had helped the Pitbulls at the largest Pit Bull rescue center Villalobos Rescue Center. They even offered parolees to start as employees and volunteers.
Season 19 may be the end of one chapter. However, Tia and her Villalobos family may never end their mission to ballet the life of pit bulls. The season premiere revealed Villalobos Rescue Center had tested as Hurricane Ida bears, which left Tia and crew members to move dogs.
Even Animal Planet donates to Villalobos Rescue Center $1.00 per viewer up to $20,000 as a ‘You Watch, We Give’ tradition, which had used for food and shelter for rescued pit bulls. In the October episode, people witness Tia hiring the first female parolee to the team in Villalobos’s History.
