Who Is Susan Lund From Clarksville Tennessee?
Susan Lund is the missing person from 1992 whose case has been finally solved as her human remains have been identified.
After she went missing in 1992, human remains were found in 1993 in Illinois. After 29 years of the case, police have released an official statement that the 1993 human remains belong to the missing Susan Lund.
The samples of the unidentified human remains were sent to Astrea Forensics, Santa Cruz, California, to create a DNA profile suitable for using forensic genetic genetics.
A DNA profile was provided to Redgrave, a genealogy company in Massachusetts. After a DNA sample comparison with Susan’s sibling, the remains were confirmed to be of Susan on March 6.
The investigation was done with cooperation between the Jefferson County police and Dr. Amy Michael, assistant professor of anthropology, University of New Hampshire.
Susan Lund Death Cause Revealed
Susan Lund’s death cause is still under review at the moment.
Meanwhile, the initial forensic reports suggested that the unidentified human remain may have had torticollis or “wry neck syndrome,” a condition that may have caused her head to have a sideways tilt during life.
Susan was a mother of three young children at the age of 25, during her disappearance.
Moreover, she was pregnant when she vanished from her home. Her husband Paul still believes she could have been kidnapped, but no leads into her findings called the case to be closed.
Likewise, few reports of Susan being seen in another state caused the police to conclude the case.
