Also, he has been charged alongside other five people for allegedly using people’s names to gain COVID rent relief, reports The Daily Mail.
The authorities have dismantled several drugs labs cultivated in-home in the Sydney area last year. The drugs were worth almost $2 million.
The investigators’ team soon found out that the substances are connected to a crime syndicate. They eventually discovered that real estate agents had allegedly utilized the sub-lease homes to grow cannabis.
Following the investigation, Police had also identified several fraudulent applications submitted under the Covid Residential Tenancy Support Package scheme.
Two partners of Kalache are Antonio Fedele, 35, and Sabrina Losciano, 37. They were arrested at the Fairfield Police Station.
The other three are Claudyous Isaac, 44, Muhammad Al-Nasiri, 35, and Habib Tomka, 23.
Kalache, Isaac, Fedele, Losciano, and Al-Nasiri were refused bail and will appear at the local courts on Thursday, March 24, 2022.
Meanwhile, Tomka was granted bail and will appear at the courts in May. More details on the drug syndicate are yet to be covered.
