After failing to surrender to authorities to fulfill his six-month prison sentence, rapper 42 Dugg was detained by federal agents.
The 27-year-old rapper failed to report to a federal prison camp in West Virginia last month to serve his term for illegally having a pistol, according to the Detroit News.
He is now facing an absconding charge and could spend up to five years in prison because he never turned himself in for the charge, which stems from an event in which he reportedly shot a firearm inside an Atlanta shooting range.
Dugg was arrested in Detroit on Wednesday after arriving on a private flight from Memphis. They were waiting for him as he got off the plane, according to the rapper’s lawyer, Steve Schrag.
