She attended St. Bede’s College in Shimla where she earned an Honors English degree. She later took a graduate program in psychology and earned a postgraduate degree in criminal psychology.
Zinta then took up modelling, shooting her first-ever television commercial for Perks chocolate. This led to her meeting with a director at a friend’s birthday party in 1996.
