This year is going to be the third iteration of the festival with the previous two being held in 2017, and 2022 respectively. The very first rendition of the music festival took place at the Observatory in Santa Ana, California with Morrissey headlining the event.
Likewise, the 2022 event was held at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds in Winchester, Nevada. My chemical romance and Paramore headlined the event respectively.
As the name itself suggests, this music festival is here for people to remind them of their youth and give them an opportunity to enjoy the music from their younger years with music stars from their era.
Hence, the appearance of bands such as Green Day is sure to make it a nostalgic and intimate affair for the fans.

The participation lineup for 2023 when we were young music festival was released on October 11, 2022.
Since the 2022 event was the very first one after the initial 2017 when we were a young music festival, many people didn’t expect or completely thought that the event would be happening again in 2023.
But the organizers decided to hold the event in 2023 as well and they announced the news to the public via their Instagram account.
Also, the organizers informed the fans that the ticket presales would start on October 14th, 2022. The news of the 2023 festival and the lineups just came a few weeks before the commencement of the 2022 event.

The music festival involves some stellar names from the pop rock and punk rock genres among others. The two headlining bands will be the legendary Green Day and Blink-182.
The event is going to be special for Blink-182 fans especially as the band will be performing with their original lead guitarist and vocalist, Tom DeLonge. He made a return to the band after he had parted ways in 2015.
Aside from the two main bands, the event will be graced by other amazing artists and groups as well.

When We Were Young Schedule, Date and Location
When we were young music festival is scheduled to be a two-day festival in October 21 to October 22, 2023.
WWWY music festival 2023 is set to be held at the same place as the last year’s edition, at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds.
When the news was first revealed, the plan initially was to have a one-day music festival only on the 21st of October with the lineup given above.
The official social media page of the music festival posted that the event was already sold out on October 15th, 2022 as the start of the presale was set for October 14th.
The organizers came up with news of extending the festival to one more day on October 22nd on February 22 via their Instagram. The post was captioned, “do you know what’s better than 1 WWWY fest? ….. 2 WWWY fests.” The second show is set to have exactly the same lineup as the first day.
With the presale set for February 24th, the organizers informed that the day two tickets had been sold out just the next day February 25th.
The fans who haven’t got the tickets and want to go if an opportunity arises are encouraged to join the waitlist via the event’s official site.
How To Go ‘When We Were Young Music Festival’?
Since Las Vegas is such a popular destination and a tourist attraction, it won’t be a hassle to go to the WWWY music festival.
If you’re traveling to the festival from within the States, then going to the event would not be a problem. If you’re going alone, taking a flight from anywhere in the country would be faster and easier.
The closest airport to the venue is the Harry Reid International Airport, which is just a few miles away from the venue.
Even if you’re traveling in a group, air travel would be appropriate. However, another interesting route could be a road trip with family or friends.
Leaving home a few days early, enjoying the together time with friends and family along the way before reaching Vegas, and rocking out to some stellar names would be a memorable trip of a lifetime.
But, the venue itself cannot be accessible by a vehicle as only walking to the location is possible. Hence, the road trippers would have to look for a place to park their vehicle beforehand.
But if you’re traveling from outside the States, you can find a direct flight to Vegas from different destinations. Mexico has direct flights to Vegas and so does Canada along with the U.K.
Germany, Panama, Switzerland, Netherlands, and South Korea, among other places, have a direct flight to Vegas, which makes it easier for the fans coming from these regions to travel to the festival easily.
Once there, public transportation is available to reach the destination via a Bus, Monorail, Taxi, or rideshare could be an option to look out for.
