Ethan Crumbley’s older half-brother, Eli Crumbley, described the suspect as a “regular” and “happy” teenager who never got into trouble.
As Eli told DailyMail.com, “The Ethan I knew was just a clever teenager who appeared to be an average kid.”
There was never anything that caught my attention. He’d never been sent to detention or suspended from school.
Crumbley used to be reasonably active on YouTube when he was a kid, but his social media accounts had been disabled by Wednesday morning.
On one account in his father’s name, he posted many videos of him playing games like Call of Duty and shooting hoops with friends.
He is thought to have flaunted his recently purchased firearm in since-deleted social media posts.
