Nyamira Girls Secondary School Club and society

Nyamira Girls are ensuring that the co-curricular programs are well augmented to ensure the wellness of the students, and give them a chance to socialize, relax, share ideas and pursue their talents and other passions other than academic work, the school has made it mandatory for each student to identify with one society and one club. So far, the school has three registered societies in the school.
1. The Young Christian Union
2. The Seventh Day Adventists
3. The Christian Union

These societies are faith-based and are a platform for the spiritual growth of the learners which is key to their spiritual, attitudinal and character formation. As the freedom of worship remains a guaranteed right enshrined in the Republic’s Constitution under the Bill of Rights, they are striving to provide an inclusive environment to all the students so that they congregate every Thursday or any other day they deem relevant to their activities. They are also putting modalities in place to register more societies including religious one such as one for the Muslim students as a matter of embracing the blessing of diversity that the school has come to enjoy by virtue of becoming an Extra County school that now attracts students from all backgrounds and walks of life in Kenya.

They have many clubs too and they are striving to increase them to cater to the learners’ diverse needs and interests.
the school has remained committed to opening the participatory space in clubs and societies for all students. Therefore, they encourage each student not to feel left out but join and actively participate based on their interest so that they can nurture their talents and interest which will serve to elevate them to their rightful places in after-school life and set them on the path of success, fulfillment, and happiness.

However, in doing this, strict observance of the school rules, the laws of the land and the societal moral expectations will and must be adhered to at all times to ensure that the school remains a safe and conducive place for learning and growth, and that at the end of it all, the students become responsible citizens who will take Kenya to the next level of glory and success.
