Nikki Roumel father Dino Roumel is a baseball coach and field manager of the Guelph Royals. Dino has been in the sports industry for over three decades.
Previously, he served as a baseball coach for Ontario Blue Jays for 13 years. In 2009, Dino became the Ontario Blue Jays U17 baseball team manager.
According to his LinkedIn profile, he has also served as an operator/manager at Ramada Toronto Airport Hotel and Stage West Theatre.
When he worked as a hotel manager he trained and supervised a staff of 48 people. He also created a menu and wine list that gained the second-highest sales volume in Ontario.
He has worked in other restaurants including Aberfoyle Mill Restaurant, Lord Nelson Restaurant, and Cafe Greek Garden Restaurant.
For 22 years he worked as a sportscaster on radio and television. Dino was the co-host of Sports Zone on Rogers Television show from 1993 to 2006.
