Valerie Bercher is best known as the beautiful, adorable, and caring third wife of Nick Faldo. At that time, their relationship was very strong and many believed they could maintain it till death separated them. But just like the others, the relationship ended after a very short time.
Faldo’s second wife, Gill Bennett later admitted that the three children’s births were forced in order to prevent any conflicts with Faldo’s playing schedule. “Socially, he was a 24-handicapper,” she added of Faldo.
When Faldo met Valerie Bercher, his three-year relationship with Cepelak came to an end. Famously, the spurned Cepelak used a golf club to smash Faldo’s Porsche 959, allegedly costing $10,000 in damage. In 1998, Faldo and Bercher, a Swiss public relations expert, began their relationship at the European Masters golf competition.
Bercher broke off her relationship with Olivier Delaloye and wed Faldo in a lavish wedding at his Windsor residence in July 2001. Emma Scarlet, their daughter, was born in 2003. In May 2006, it was revealed that Faldo had started the divorce process which eventually got them divorced.
