During her high school days, Jackie finished sixth in the 400 meters, clocking 57.97 seconds at the 2010 Wisconsin Division 1 state championship.
The website gophersports stated that Jackie was a four-year cross-country letter-winner and earned All-Wisconsin Valley Conference honors all four years of high school.
Later, she enrolled at the University of Minnesota, where she redshirted the indoor and outdoor seasons in 2011. She ran the 800 meters with a season-best time of 2:18.61 at the Tommie Twilight and also raced in the Hamline Twilight and Holst Invitational.
Similarly, she raced the mile at the Northwest Open in 5:52.03 during her junior year and was Academic All-Big Ten in 2013.

During that time, Bjugstad departed the Gophers following his junior season, signing a three-year entry-level contract with the Florida Panthers on April 3, 2013.

Nick and Jackie Bjufstad had their wedding on July 14, 2018. They had their grand wedding ceremony at Stout’s Island Lodge.
A day before the fated day, the couple had a BBQ and bonfire celebration on the Island near Cedar Lake, and guests were invited to attend in casual attire.
Following that, they hosted a Saturday lunch buffet at Stout’s Island Lodge – Island Resort in Wisconsin, a few hours before the wedding.
As stated in the knot, Nick and Jackie walked down the aisle in Birchwood, WI at 3.30 p.m. and were officially Mr. and Mrs. Bjugstad.
The Couple Are Parents To Two
Bjugstad and his partner are blessed with adorable daughters, Layla and Lucy. They welcomed their first kid in April 2019.
Jackie was in the delivery room when the Pens were eliminated from the Stanley Cup Playoffs during an off-season. Soon after the game, Bjugstad headed to the hospital to be around as the couple welcomed their first child, daughter Layla.
A year later, the pair welcomed their second child, Lucy, in 2020. The mother of two uploaded pictures of her newborn on her Facebook page.
In terms of 2022, their first one is already three years old, and their baby turned two this year.
