A man involved in a chase scene with West Memphis police jumps from the 405 bridge in Irvine in an apparent attempt at suicide, and he is hit by a box truck.
After a male apparently fell or leaped to his death from an overpass into the motorway, California Highway Patrol officers announced a SigAlert on a southbound section near MacArthur Boulevard.
Officer Florentino of the California Highway Patrol stated authorities were dispatched to the site soon before 11 a.m. Monday to investigate a person who had been hit by a car in the 405 Freeway’s southbound lanes.
The guy jumped from the overpass into moving cars and was hit by a white box truck as he plummeted.

The West Memphis Police Department reported in a news report shared on social media that a man leaped to his death during an expressway chase.
It began at 2 a.m. Wednesday morning, when cops stopped a stolen truck near a gas station on Ingram Blvd., as per West Memphis Police. However, before authorities could make a connection, the vehicle fled, resulting in a chase eastward on I-40.
The driver of the alleged stolen vehicle then allegedly slammed into a WMPD cop car before colliding with the cement partition wall and becoming immobilized.
That’s when the suspected stolen vehicle’s driver leaped out, leaving two passengers alone, hopped over the divider, and dashed across the westbound traffic lanes.
The two passengers were taken into custody for use of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. For further inquiry, the matter has been handed over to the Arkansas State Police.
Overpass Death Man Identified: Harry Barrett Died From Tennessee Overpass
Harry Barrett, 56, of Glastonbury, was recognized by state police as the guy who died after plunging from a highway bridge onto Interstate 84 on Thursday morning.
The method of death was suicide. Barrett suffered serious injuries and was declared dead on the spot, according to state police.
At 7:52 a.m., state police got 911 calls reporting that a man, later named Barrett of 29 Towhee Lane, had leaped from the Highway 384 connector to Interstate 291, falling in the westbound I-84 lanes.
The tractor-trailer driver that hit Harry was a Pennsylvania guy who was brought to the hospital with non-life-threatening wounds.

A Freeport man named Harry Barret committed suicide by jumping off the Interstate 295 overpass in Richmond on Wednesday.
As per the Maine State Police, he wounded a tractor-trailer driver and momentarily shut down the interstate’s southbound lanes.
According to Shannon Moss, public affairs officer for the Maine Department of Public Safety, the guy was confirmed deceased at the site.
The vehicle driver that hit him was able to come to a halt at the Exit 43 southbound onramp entryway as per the source.
