The Sun reports that Mystic Meg, a well-known astrologer whose real name was Margaret Lake, has died at the age of 80. For over 23 years, she had been penning horoscope columns for The Sun.
Meg was a master at using a number of different types of divination tools, such as runes, crystal balls, the I Ching, tarot, and numerology. Other novels, including Mystic Meg’s Astrolife and Mystic Meg’s Lucky Numbers For Love Life And The Lotto, were also written by her.
Because of Meg’s enormous influence, the English language now refers to her whenever a challenging topic is posed. According to astrological charts, she was a Leo.
A prior lottery winner checked her ticket after one of Meg’s forecasts, and she ended up winning a sizable sum of money. After reading Meg’s column in The Sun, Mary Jones, a mother of four from Gwynedd, North Wales, checked her ticket and won £9.3 million in 2004. She attributed this to Meg for making her do so.
Dave Shapland, Meg’s longtime agent, called her the most well-known astrologer in Britain and claimed that her influence was immense. Her followers, who have benefited from her efforts for many years, will be greatly saddened by her passing.
