The mysterious tale of Teresa Fidalgo has haunted many citizens over the years. Is her story real or is it just a hoax?
The name “Teresa Fidalgo” has resurfaced on social media platforms time and again for years.
Those who have heard of the name may know her story well. But, those who are unaware of her identity, stick with this article until the end as we break down everything you need to know about her.
Movie: Teresa Fidalgo Age & Wikipedia- Is She Real?
Teresa Fidalgo is not real and she is just a fictional story. Thus, it’s futile to talk about her age.
Fidalgo’s story went viral several years ago and it’s surfaced online even in 2021. Generally speaking, she is a dead girl.
Her ghost story is usually shared online via copy and paste on Instagram or Facebook’s comment section.
The message warns, “I am Teresa Fidalgo and if you don’t post this on 20 other photos I will sleep with you forever. A girl ignored and her mom died 29 days later. You can even search me on google.”
Netizens, who are terrified and genuinely believe in such ghost stories, copied and pasted the message across social media, which is how the news became viral.
However, as it turns out, the whole story is fake. According to the Independent, the story is a reworking of Portuguese producer David Rebordao’s viral video “A Curva.”
The video shows a group of friends picking up a hitchhiker named Teresa Fidalgo while driving in the mountains. The hitchhiker then points to a spot where she presumably died.
At this point, the camera flips and shows Teresa’s suddenly bloody face and the car crashes. It did not take long for people to link the story to a real-life accident scenario that took place on a Portuguese road.
Don’t be afraid though as Rebordao denied the story himself and admitted it’s fake.
