Requirements
- Citizens of Madagascar who wish to visit Morocco for tourism will need to apply for a tourist visa.
- A tourist visa is issued for a period of up to 90 days.
- Travelers are required to provide proof of confirmed hotel reservation, flight bookings and travel itinerary for the entire duration of your stay in Morocco.
- Travelers are also required to provide a formal statement of their financial situation from their bank that is less than 4 weeks old.
- Visitors who intend to stay for more than 90 days in Morocco must request permission to extend the duration of their stay.
- You must provide proof of your financial ability to support yourself financially during your stay in Morocco.
- The exportation of Moroccan currency is prohibited.
- The dirham is a closed currency, which means it can only be bought once you arrive in Morocco. You’re allowed to bring in or take out 1000Dh.
- Euros and dollars are accepted in Morocco, but the Moroccan currency (the Moroccan Dirham) is required for everyday use.
- Taxis in Morocco are generally crime-free during day time, although city buses are not considered safe.
- Travelers should avoid soccer stadiums and their environs on days of scheduled matches as large groups of team supporters have been known to become unruly and harass and assault bystanders.
- In the event of a traffic accident, including accidents involving injuries, the parties are required to remain at the scene and not move their vehicles until the police have arrived and documented all necessary information. The police emergency services telephone number is “190”.
- If you are stopped for a speeding violation, you have the right to request the video footage documenting the infraction. Once the speeding violation is confirmed, you have three options:
- Pay the fine on the spot and obtain a receipt of payment.
- Pay at the local city’s treasury (La Perception). The police/gendarme officer will issue you a ‘ticket’ indicating the amount of the fine and keep your driver’s license until you pay the fine.
- Contest the violation. Should you wish to contest a violation, you may file a complaint at court; however, Moroccan authorities may keep your driver’s license and vehicle registration while this lengthy process takes place.

Requirements
- The Moroccan business visa is for the citizens of Madagascar looking to travel to Morocco for business purposes.
- The business visa is valid for 90 days and it is both single-entry and multiple-entry.
- A letter from the applicant’s employer written on the company’s letterhead should be provided. This letter should introduce the applicant, indicate the applicant’s position in the company and clearly state the purpose of the visit to Morocco.
- An official invitation letter from the company in Morocco should be provided. The company’s address, the reason for your visit and the duration of your stay should be clearly stated.
- A certificate of business registration of the company in Morocco is required.
- A copy of your legal status in Madagascar is required.
- If your employer or the company you are meeting with will be responsible for taking care of your expenses, it should be stated in the invitation letter.
- If you have been in business with the same company previously, proof of this should be presented during the visa application process.
- Travelers are required to provide proof that they have the incentive of returning to their country at the expiry of their visa (i/e return ticket).
