The famous actress started her career playing the lead role in the popular television serial, Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin. She was announced as the winner of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa show back in 2006. The show aired on Sony Entertainment Television. Later, she announced her plans to make movies sometime in the future one of them being Bobby Pushkarna. She was expected to live for a world tour with a number of actors to perform songs in June 2006.

Singh signed an exclusive contract with Sony Entertainment Television in 2007. She was to be the brand ambassador for the channel for 13 months. Her next show on TV was called Extreme Makeover. She has also hosted Jhalak Dikhha Jaa 4 on Sony and Extra Shots on Set Max. She has been an ambassador for various brands.

TV actress Mona Singh on online trolls: That is the reason I stay away from social media

Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahi star Mona Singh is a private person. And that’s probably the reason why we don’t see many updates on her social media pages. The actress says she is not someone who likes to tell people what she ate and where she traveled to.

“I am too much of a private person. I don’t want to tell people where I am and what I am eating. I am not on Twitter and I am not used to being on social networking sites because I feel very uncomfortable telling people what’s happening in my life,” she told India Today online in an exclusive interview.

There is another reason the actress stays away from social media. Yes, you guessed it right, it is the online trolls.

“That’s the reason I stay away from social media. It is so pathetic that they (trolls) want to put people down and write anything unacceptable. It’s not ok. I can’t read a comment which is bad and pretends that it doesn’ affect me. It does,” she said.

Mona Singh recently played the role of another woman in Alt Balaji’s web series Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain. She will next be seen in TVF’s web series Yeh Meri Family, where she would be playing the mother of a three. The series is set in the 90s when life was much simpler than today.
