Mitchell Trubisky’s bio
Mitchell David Trubisky was born on August 20, 1994 in the town of Painesville, Lake County, Ohio. He was raised in Mentor, Lake County and received his high school education at Mentor High School. Trubisky had a stellar career in high school, rushing for 9,126 yards and 92 touchdowns. This made him the first quarterback in the Greater Cleveland Area to throw for 30,000 yards. As a testament to his outstanding performance, the Associated Press named Trubisky the best high school football player in the entire state of Ohio in 2012 and presented him with the prestigious Mr Football Award.
Not surprisingly, Mitchell Trubisky received offers of football scholarships from several colleges, but ultimately settled on the University of North Carolina (UNC). His first three school seasons were somewhat disappointing; He was transferred to a new jersey in his freshman year (2013) and spent the next two seasons (2014 and 2015) as the starting quarterback backup. As such, he didn’t get much playing time and couldn’t make much of an impact. However, Trubisky got his chance to shine when he was named the first string quarterback of the 2016 season and he didn’t disappoint. In 13 games for the Tar Heels, he completed 304 of 447 passes for 3,748 yards, 30 touchdowns and 6 interceptions. His incredible performance was enough to catch the attention of various NFL teams, although he only had one regular football season in college. Due to growing interest, Trubisky decided to forgo his fifth year of college football and instead declared for the 2017 NFL draft. He was selected in the first round by the Chicago Bears and was the second overall pick of that year’s draft. The Bears signed a four-year, $29,032,424 contract.
Mitchell Trubisky is currently in his second season with the Bears. In 17 games, he completed 309 of 491 passes (62.9%) for 3,454 yards, 18 touchdowns and 11 interceptions while shooting 66 times for 412 yards and 3 touchdowns. He also has a Career Passer (QB) rating of 86.7% during Week 6 of the 2018 NFL season. Although Trubisky was only in his sophomore year, he has already set some incredible records on the Bears team. In the fourth game of the 2018 season against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he completed 19 of 26 passes for 354 yards, 6 uninterrupted touchdowns. That incredible feat made him the first quarterback in Chicago Bears history to have six touchdowns since Johnny Lujack in 1949. He was also the first quarterback in NFL history
Body measurements (height and weight)
Mitchell Trubisky is 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 22 pounds or 100.6 kg. He also has an arm length of 32 inches. His massive size and stature have enabled him to withstand the physical challenges of the position he plays. His arm length has also helped him throw accurately and efficiently. Trubisky also offers the speed and quickness typically found on returns. This has made him the double threat quarterback he is today.
family, mom
Mitchell Trubisky comes from a close-knit family of six, consisting of Dad, Dave Trubisky; mother, Jeanne; younger sister Mariah and two younger brothers, Manning and Mason. It might not be wrong to conclude that Tribusky’s footballing prowess is genetic as he comes from a naturally athletic family. His father played three different sports in high school while his mother played up to four sports in high school. In fact, his parents met while they were playing flag football (a variant of American football) in college. His younger siblings have followed in the footsteps of their parents as well as their big brother and are also active in sports. Mariah played basketball in high school, while younger brothers Manning and Mason also played soccer at Mentor High School. Mitchell Trubisky credits his parents for instilling values and work ethic that helped him achieve his NFL dreams.
Jeanne Trubisky is a bear. She caused some controversy during the 2017 NFL Draft when she insisted that Mitchell, commonly known as Mitch, should be called Mitchell since that was his given name at birth. According to her, she had told his football coach in college that his name was Mitchell, but for reasons best known to him, they went with Mitch and it became his official name in the football community. However, Trubisky settled the controversy by stating that he agrees with either Mitchell or Mitch.
girlfriend
Currently, Mitchell Trubisky doesn’t have a better half that we know of. He was rumored to be in a relationship with Miss Illinois 2017 Abby Foster after the two snapped a selfie together at a charity event. However, there is no evidence that they are in a relationship. So for now it’s safe to assume Trubisky is single, but rest assured that we’ll update you if that single status changes.
