Michiel Huisman Biography
Michiel Huisman was born on July 18, 1981 in Amstelveen, Noord-Holland, which is near Amsterdam. Before Game of Thrones (2011), Huisman had a role in Paul Verhoeven’s acclaimed Black Book (2006), and he played Rudolf Nureyev in the BBC TV movie Margot (2009) about prima ballerina Margot Fonteyn.
Before he became ubiquitous on television, Huisman also performed in a band called Fontaine that wrote music for soundtracks. (Huisman released a solo album in 2005.) Huisman combined his acting and musical talents on the show Treme (2010), where he played Sonny, a drug addicted musician. Then came Huisman’s big break into one of the hottest shows on cable, Game of Thrones (2011), where he took over the role of Daario Naharis.
Huisman was given a lot of leeway to approach the character and re-interpret Daario his own way. The creators of Game of Thrones (2011) felt that viewers would adapt to the transition between actors well, and Huisman was indeed accepted by fans of the show.
Huisman had the distinction of being on three big shows at the same time, namely “Thrones,” country music drama Nashville (2012), where he played producer Liam McGuiniss, and the sci-fi series Orphan Black (2013), where he played Cal Morrison, a human interacting with clones. Huisman also worked regularly in movies such as Brad Pitt’s World War Z (2013), and the best seller adaptation Wild (2014), starring Reese Witherspoon.

Michiel Huisman GOT
Michiel Huisman is a Dutch actor who portrays Daario Naharis from the fourth season and onward of Game of Thrones. Huisman replaced Ed Skrein, who played the character in the third season. Huisman initially joined Season 4 as a guest star but was promoted to the main cast for the fifth season, even before Season 4 had aired in 2014.
He was part of the main cast for the sixth season. Huisman’s interpretation of Daario was a more traditional “lovable rogue” type character than Skrein’s more esoteric portrayal. Huisman has made several appearances in Dutch movies before he left to the USA. He appeared with Carice van Houten in the movie Black Book (2006).
He starred in the HBO series Treme (2010-2013) and had recurring roles on the ABC series Nashville (2012-2014) and on the BBC America/Space series Orphan Black (2014-2015). Huisman has also had supporting roles in several American made movies like The Young Victoria (2009), World War Z (2013) and Wild (2014). He had a lead role the fantasy romance movie The Age of Adaline (2015), which marked Huisman’s first lead role in a Hollywood production.
Huisman was originally supposed to star in the upcoming 2016 Horror film The Forest with fellow Game of Thrones co-star Natalie Dormer, but had to withdraw from the production due to scheduling difficulties. His role in the film was eventually replaced by American actor Taylor Kinney.
Huisman has been cast to star in a Discovery Channel limited series titled Harley and the Davidsons with Game of Thrones co-star Robert Aramayo. The series will focus on the foundation of the motorcycle manufacturer Harley-Davidson, where Huisman will star as Walter Davidson and Aramayo as William S. Harley.

Michiel Huisman Nashville
Liam McGuinnis was Rayna Jaymes’ producer and also acted as Scarlett O’Connor’s producer, also being responsible for giving her prescribed medication to help with her insomnia. The two briefly pursued a romantic relationship.
Rayna Jaymes reads a magazine article on Liam McGuinnis, and decides that she wants him to be her new producer. He’s not country, but he’s been quite successful, he’s in Nashville, and the article provides a hint that he likes country music.
She goes and visits him, but he says he doesn’t speak “moms and SUVs.” She returns the next day and impresses him with some knowledge of his music, despite being a mom with an SUV. He invites her in, and persuades her to drink.
The next day she doesn’t remember what they did that night. He told her it had been magical. What kind of magical, she wondered. The right kind: he’d made a video of her singing with the new sound she’d been hoping he’d help her find.
They continue to work together but when she assigns him to work with Scarlett O’Connor he gives her prescription drugs to help with her exhaustion and to bring out her creativity. They have a short fling which Rayna puts an end to. He departs for Tokyo soon after.

Michiel Huisman World War Z
World War Z is a 2013 American apocalyptic action horror film[7] directed by Marc Forster. The screenplay by Matthew Michael Carnahan, Drew Goddard, and Damon Lindelof is from a screen story by Carnahan and J. Michael Straczynski, based on the 2006 novel of the same name by Max Brooks. The film stars Brad Pitt as Gerry Lane, a former United Nations investigator who must travel the world to find a way to stop a zombie pandemic.
Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment secured the film rights in 2007, and Forster was approached to direct. In 2009, Carnahan was hired to rewrite the script. Filming began in July 2011 in Malta, on an estimated $125 million budget, before moving to Glasgow in August 2011 and Budapest in October 2011. Originally set for a December 2012 release, the production suffered some setbacks.
In June 2012, the film’s release date was pushed back, and the crew returned to Budapest for seven weeks of additional shooting. Damon Lindelof was hired to rewrite the third act, but did not have time to finish the script, and Drew Goddard was hired to rewrite it. The reshoots took place between September and October 2012.
World War Z premiered in London on June 3, 2013, and was chosen to open the 35th Moscow International Film Festival. The film premiered in New York, and Los Angeles on June 14, 2013, and released everywhere on June 21, 2013, in the United States, in 2D and RealD 3D.
The film received positive reviews for Brad Pitt’s performance and as a realistic revival of the zombie genre, but received certain criticism for the anti-climax and outdated CGI. Regardless, the film was a commercial success, grossing over $540 million against a production budget of $190 million, becoming the highest-grossing zombie film of all time. A sequel was announced shortly after the film’s release, and is currently in production.
