Michael Schumacher Is Still Alive And Is Recovering From The Ski Accident: Former F1 Driver Illness And Health Update

Since his 2013 skiing accident, racing superstar Michael Schumacher has been hidden from the public. His wife Corinna provided most of his care at their Lake Geneva home after he was thrown into a coma through medication.

He was sent home for additional care after finishing his treatment and rehabilitation in Grenoble and at the University Hospital of Lausanne.

Is Michael Schumacher Still Alive?

Schumacher is still alive. His doctor put him into an induced coma to treat brain swelling, and he has remained unconscious.

In a statement released in March 2014, his family said: “Michael remains in critical condition. For all of us, it is quite difficult to understand how Michael, who had previously triumphed over many trying circumstances, should have suffered such severe harm in such an unimportant circumstance.”

He was said to be at the French hospital in Grenoble. Later, he was relocated to a hospital in Lausanne, Switzerland, before being transferred in September 2014 to his family’s farm near Lake Geneva to finish his treatment there.

Michael Schumacher Illness And Health Update

Michael hasn’t been well for about ten years, so it’s unlikely that we’ll ever see him again. Even while people who are aware of his health tend to keep quiet, their signals hint at a bleak future.

He is seeking treatment to “return to a more normal living,” said Jean Todt. Famous neurosurgeon ERICH RIEDERER gave a pessimistic evaluation of Schumacher’s health.

On December 29, 2013, Schumacher and his son Mick, who was 14 at the time, crashed horribly while skiing in the French Alps near Méribel.

Even though he wore a ski helmet, he fell and struck his head on a rock as he crossed an off-piste section.

The world champion was flown to a hospital in Grenoble after doctors determined that he would have most likely died without the safety equipment.

He underwent two operations from doctors to drain blood from his head and lower the pressure.

Where Is Michael Schumacher And His Wife Corinna Schumacher?

Michael Schumacher, who is currently 53 years old and wasn’t born in Germany, has lived there for a considerable amount of time. Schumacher and his wife Corinna purchased Sur Le Moulin, a home that resembled the von Trapp family residence, twenty years ago.

Since sustaining a possibly catastrophic head injury while skiing in the French resort of Meribel in December 2013, Schumacher has not been spotted in public.

His condition has remained a secret for the past nine years after his wife Corinna vowed to protect his privacy while he recovers at home in Switzerland.

The family is reportedly moving into a villa with land close to the posh resort of Port Andratx in Majorca, according to The Sun.
