Los Angeles Angels Michael Lorenzen Tattoo Meaning: What does it mean?
Even a missile danger won’t deter Cincinnati Reds pitcher Michael Lorenzen from his goal. Lorenzen truly wears his beliefs on his sleeve. A complex tattoo on his left forearm features references to two religious texts.
Galatians 2:20 is the complete text of the words that surround the emblem of 116 Clique, a Christian hip-hop collective. “For I am not ashamed of the gospel,” writes Paul in Romans 1:16, “for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile.”
Since his father’s death two years ago, Lorenzen has told the story of his tumultuous upbringing. Before coming to faith at the age of 17, the future big-leaguer did his fair share of partying, drinking, and smoking marijuana. Now he is not ashamed of the beliefs he has and loves to showcase that through his tattoos.
