The 44-year old legendary former professional German football, Micheal Ballack lost his middle son, Emilio at the mere age of 18 in a tragic quad bike crash that took place on 5th August 2021, Thursday morning in the south of Lisbon near his family’s vacation residence in Portugal country. As per the initial reports, Emilio was riding his quadbikes in his household’s holiday property neighborhood, when he eventually lost control of his vehicle and was crushed underneath it. As per the community police officials, the Troia police department was informed about an accident at around 2:00 AM on Thursday morning, regarding the vehicle accident that occurred on the Southside of Lisbon.
The police immediately went to the crime scene and examined the whole incident carefully. According to one of the police officers, the quad bike was resting on an irregular section of the area. At the first glance, it looked like the bike had gone towards the backward side, eventually falling on the top of the victim and ultimately crushing him. As per the reports, it has been said that the injured man was given immediate medical treatment, however, despite all the efforts, the medical staff was unable to revive his lifeless body and thus, he was pronounced dead at the spot.
Though the identity of the victim has not been revealed by the Police, they have confirmed the victim was alone at the time this tragic accident occurred. Moreover, a couple of days, Emilio Ballack was seen sharing pictures of his vacation over his Instagram account, however, after this incident, his account now seems to be offline. The legendary former midfielder, Michael Ballack who have been part of some of the great professional team, including the English professional football club Chelsea, German professional FC, Bayern Munich and others, have not made any official statement regarding the same.
Meanwhile, Chelsea FC took over their Twitter handle, “@Chelsea FC” and expressed their sadness over the passing of the young mid child of Ballack. They stated, “Everyone who is associated with Chelsea FC is extremely shocked to the core and grieved to learn of the death of Emilio Ballack at the unfortunately young age of 18.” Chelsea further added, “In this sad time, their thoughts and prayers are with Michael and his family.”
Bayern Munich too posted its own condolences over their official Twitter account. “FC Bayern is united in mourning with their long-time player, Michael and family, whose 18-year old child, Emilio Ballack was killed in a tragic accident.” In this critical time, our heartfelt condolences are with the family of Ballack, who lost their dear son Emilio in a quad-bike crash on 5th August 2021. We are incredibly sorry for Micheal and his family, we wish him all the courage in the world. May the soul of the deceased rest in peace.
