The couple’s wedding was officiated by a local judge, while Ashley’s parents served as witnesses. The pair got married at seven in the morning, and their reception was held at a Waffle House. For the honeymoon, the Cordray couple flew to Acapulco, Mexico.

Although the duo attended the same university, they didn’t graduate in the same year. Michael completed his course in 2006, whereas Ashley graduated in 2009.
In 2015, Michael left his decent-paying job to start a restoration and real estate company called Save 1900. The company bought homes that were scheduled for demolition, repaired them, and sold the buildings for a profit.
The realtors-turned-TV couple first came to the national limelight in 2019 with the release of Big Texas Fix on HGTV. Their passion for saving historical buildings from demolition immediately captured the attention of TV viewers.

Michael was born as the son of Helen and Emil Cordray. His father Emil was a professional coin collector and dealer.
Likewise, his mother Helen worked at Valero Energy, a petroleum refining company. Emil passed away on August 22, 2007, at the age of 65.
Helen and Emil were divorced at the time of his death. However, they still had an amicable friendship and mutual respect for each other. Helen later got married to a New Orleans resident named Henry Reynes.

Michael and Ashley house was originally constructed in 1887. The pair renovated the property for season one of Restoring Galveston.
The couple’s residence was formerly called the Gustave Mayhoff cottage. The house has a master bedroom, a cozy nook to let in sunlight, a nursery, and multiple bedrooms.
Their master bedroom has a king-size bed and decorations like a black chandelier and white headboard.
The home was in pretty rough shape when they first purchased the property. During the restoration, the couple fell in love with the house and eventually decided to move in.

The Pair Recently Welcomed Third Child
Michael and Ashley had their third child Emory James Cordray on March 18, 2023. Emory has the same birthday as her father Michael, only they were born 40 years apart.
The couple didn’t do a gender reveal for Emory; so, her parents had to wait until her birth to find out the gender of the newborn.
