Mehmet Özyürek Death: How did Mehmet Özyürek die?

Mehmet Özyürek died from a heart attack on Thursday, May 18, 2023. He was 73. He held a Guinness World Record for having the world’s longest nose. His nose measured 8.8 centimeters (3.5 inches) when it was measured on March 18, 2010.

“I have such a special feature. It’s a genetic condition as far as I understand. There was no explanation by the doctors, but I have it in my family, so my father has it, my uncles have it, and I have it. My friends used to call me Big Nose to upset me. But I took a look at myself. That’s when I looked in the mirror – I discovered myself,” he said during an interview with Guinness World Records.

“I love my nose of course… I have been blessed. I am extremely pleased to represent Turkey, the Black Sea, or Artvin on an international scale. Some become martyrs, some become Prime Ministers and some become record holders,” he added.
