Deja Kelly was born to Theresa Nunn and Darren Kelly. Kelly was born and reared by her parents in San Antonio, Texas.
Her mother, Theresa, was a Valley City State University basketball player, while Darren was a University of Texas basketball player.
Kelly’s parents have always supported her basketball career, and as their parents were also basketball players, Kelly has been interested in the sport since she was a child.
