Tasha’s cochlear implant gives patients with severe or profound deafness the sensation of hearing. A cochlear implant differs from a hearing aid in that it provides more help.
She was born deaf in both ears and received the CI at the age of five, with the implant following at fifteen. Her model was a sonnet, and she was registered with MEDEL worldwide.
She doesn’t remember much about being five, but when she was 15, she had to retrain her ear with her new cochlear implant model inside and the outer piece, which took approximately a month to heal. It eventually arrives at its destination.
