Matty Matheson Parents: Meet Stephen Matheson & Joan Matheson

Matty Matheson is the son of Stephen Matheson and Joan Matheson. There isn’t much information about them on the internet as he likes to keep his personal life away from the limelight.

Matty Matheson gained recognition for his energetic and wild personality, leading to appearances on Vice’s show “Munchies.” He hosted Viceland’s “It’s Suppertime!” and “Dead Set on Life.” Matheson’s approachable style and love for food made him a fan favourite. He has also appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and signed with WME Agency in 2021. In June 2022, he joined the cast and crew of FX’s “The Bear.”

Matheson has been actively involved in the culinary scene, contributing to various restaurant ventures. He partnered with Shlomo Buchler in 2015 to create the pizza restaurant Maker Pizza, which expanded across the Greater Toronto Area. Despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, Matheson launched pop-up restaurants like Matty Matheson’s Meat + Three and Matty’s Patty’s, both receiving acclaim.

His collaboration with Toronto chefs Kate Chomyshyn and Julio Guajardo led to the opening of “Birria Balam” in 2021, specializing in the Mexican dish birria. They later opened “Fonda Balam,” serving birria and other Mexican cuisine. Matheson’s diverse culinary interests extended to Vietnamese cuisine with the opening of “Ca Phe Rang” in 2022.
