Masood Akhtar was born in Sahiwal City on September 5, 1940. He began his career as a performer on stage in the 1960s. He demonstrated the essence of acting in a number of classic dramas as well, where many of his roles were villains.
Furthermore, Pakistan’s government presented him with the Presidential Medal of Excellence for his contributions on August 14, 2005.

He died at the age of 82, following a long illness. For the past month and a half, he has been receiving treatment in a Lahore hospital for lung cancer.
