Suffolk County police are investigating a Thursday morning crash in Manorville that they said killed one person and injured two others.
Joseph Macedonio, 25, of Manorville was driving a 2014 Ford F-150 truck west on South Street at 11:35 a.m., police said, when he crashed into an eastbound 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe.
Macedonio, as well as the driver of the Hyundai and a passenger, were transported to Stony Brook University Hospital, where the Hyundai passenger died from his injuries. The driver’s injuries were not life-threatening, according to police.
The names and ages of the Hyundai driver and passenger were not immediately released, police said, because next of kin hadn’t been notified.
