Maia Kealoha and Sydney Agudong are going to be movie sisters. Both are going to work on the same Disney project.
Disney is going to create a new live-action of animated movie they made in 2002 called Lilo & Stitch. Only a handful of actors have been selected for some of the few main lead roles.
And one of the main lead roles of Lilo is going to be played by Maia while her elder sister in the movie is going to be played by Sydney Elizabeth Agudong. Sydney will play the role of Nani in the movie.
Sydney’s role Nani is the 19-year-old elder sister of Lilo who is taking care of her younger sister after both of her parents passed away in an accident.
Nani being 19, is old enough to be the legal guardian of her sister, but along the way, she is also trying to figure out her own life.
Maia Is Cast As Lilo In Disney’s Live Action Remake
Maia Kealoha from Hawaii has been cast in the role of Lilo for the Disney Studio new live-action remake of their original animated movie Lilo & Stitch.
The details of her Maia joining the project were first announced by Knight Edge Media.
People were quite shocked that a new person in the acting field had been cast in Disney Studio’s animated film.
Though there is not much achievement registered for little Maia as she has just been starting out, she won the 2022 Little Miss Kona Coffee Competition.
Now, she will be acting with other actors currently selected for the live-action remake.
The young actress will be joined by Zach Galifianakis and Billy Magnussen. Other actors include Sydney Elizabeth Agudong as Nani and Kahiau Machado as David Kawena.
The new live-action movie will be directed by Dean Fleischer Camp while the script of the movie will be written by Chris Kekaniokelani Bright.
Jonathan Eirich and Dan Lin will produce the movie with Ryan Halprin as an executive producer in lead.
