Lux Pascal is the son of Veronica Pascal and Jose Balmaceda Riera.
Lux, born in California as Lucas Balmaceda, is the product of a family that weathered the storms of political upheaval. Her parents, José and Verónica, both hailing from Chile, found themselves at the center of history’s tumultuous events. After the 1973 coup in Chile, the family faced the harsh reality of exile, forced to leave their homeland due to Verónica’s connection to Andrés Pascal Allende, a prominent leader of the Chilean Revolutionary Left Movement.
The aftermath of the coup brought about a complex political landscape, and Lux’s parents became a part of the many Chileans who sought refuge abroad. This chapter of their lives is a testament to the strength of the human spirit, as they navigated the challenges of starting anew in a foreign land.
