Luna Encinas Cruz Parents’ Marriage

Luna Encinas Cruz’s parents, Penélope Cruz, and Javier Bardem tied their nuptial knot in a private wedding party that was held in 2010. Penélope and Javier met each other for the first time in 1992 on the set of Jamón Jamón. Neither of them made the first move, so they didn’t build any connections, whatsoever, then. About a decade and a half later, however, they reunited while filming Woody Allen’s Vicky Cristina Barcelona in 2007, and started dating afterward.

Speaking about their love life years after their marriage, Luna’s father, Javier Bardem, admitted in an interview with GQ UK, saying;

“There was obvious chemistry between us. I mean, it’s all there on film; it’s like a document of our passion. One day we’re going to have to show the kids – imagine! ‘Mummy, Daddy, what did you do in the movies together?’- ‘Well, my children, you should celebrate this movie as you’re here because of it!’ It was a very sexy film. It still is. Penélope’s parents were brave to allow her to do that film – if my daughter at 16 came to me with a script like that I’d have said no f**king way!” He continued, “Neither of us would make the first move. I don’t know if we were shy or trying to be too professional. Anyway, it got to the very last day of filming and nothing had happened. So I thought, ‘F**k! We better get drunk!’ Luckily a friend of ours threw a wrap party and, well, the rest is history. Thank god!”

Well, a year after their marriage they had their first child, whom they named Leo Encinas Cruz 12 years. Two years later, they had their second child, Luna Encinas Cruz, whom we discussed in this article. They’ve been happily married for more than a decade and counting. Information on the internet purports they currently reside in the capital city of Spain, Madrid, with their two children.
