Luke McGregor is a comedian, writer, and actor from Australia. His stand-up career began in Tasmania in 2007, when he entered the RAW Comedy competition after one of the competitors failed to appear. He was chosen as a RAW Comedy national finalist the following year.
Luke’s first solo Melbourne International Comedy Festival show, ‘My Soul Mate Is Out Of My League,’ played to sold-out rooms in 2013 and won the prestigious Best Newcomer Award. He then went on to have a hugely successful season at London’s Soho Theatre.
Luke’s solo show, ‘I Worry That I Worry Too Much,’ debuted at the 2014 Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Luke had no need to be concerned because he was relocated to a larger venue during the festival. Mr. McGregor gets two thumbs up! Following the MICF, Luke took the show to the Sydney Comedy Festival, where he was named Best Newcomer in 2014. He went on to perform his debut season at the Edinburgh Festival, as well as a return season at London’s Soho Theatre.
