Lori’s exact date of birth is not known. However, she met Guy in 1993 when she was 22 years old. We did the math and her year of birth is 1971, which means she is three years younger than Guy, who was born on January 22, 1968.
Lori grew up in a blue-collar family in North Providence, Rhode Island. Her father was a toolmaker while her mother was a housekeeper.

She lived a fairly basic life in the United States until her husband’s victory in the second season of The Next Food Network Star cooking competition on April 23, 2006 thrust her into the limelight.

Lori Fieri Married / Husband – Guy Fieri
Guy and Lori met in 1993 when they first visited California. She was off on a cross-country skiing trip from her home island of Rhode Island to San Diego, but had to stop in Long Beach, Calif., to see a friend who worked at the same restaurant as Guy.
“Her friend had been released from the restaurant, and they weren’t supposed to be there,” Fieri said of his first encounter with Lori. “I was talking to her friend and I was like, ‘Look, wait a few weeks. before I go home,” and behind her is this blonde blue-eyed girl giving me this mug.
Guy revealed that for him it was first loveThe same cannot be said for Lori who immediately opposed Guy after his comment to her friend. According to Guy, Lori’s response was “You can’t make us leave” and Guy replied quietly, “You don’t have to.”

Despite her rather harsh answer, Guy said he knew Lori was the one. “I knew as soon as I saw her. I just knew. They then became friends and one of the ways Guy caught her was with her cooking, lol! if not how? Two years after their chance meeting, Lori and Guy married in 1995.
Another foodie like her husband, Lori has been at Guy’s supportive side as he constantly strives to take his love of food to the next level. It was Lori who encouraged Guy to submit a copy of his bold and daring cooking to the Food Network who, at the time, were auditioning for the second season of The Next Food Network Star.
When Guy was called for the show, he was initially hesitant as Lori was pregnant with their second son and Christmas was near, however, Lori once again encouraged him to go. Unlike her husband, Lori didn’t hesitate to accept the invitation.
“I said, ‘Listen, this is the opportunity of your lifetime,’ Lori revealed to Guy. “If you don’t try, you’ll never know. You must leave.”
Four months into the competition, Lori joined Guy in the season finale where Guy was announced the winner. “If I could go back and relive that whole experience, I would. It was such a high,” Lori said of the experience.
Guy managed to turn his Food Network Star trophy into a successful career as a restaurateur, author and game show host.

The Fieris have two sons together: Hunter Fieri, born August 7, 1996, and Ryder Fieri, born December 31, 2005.
