Her mother is a graduate of O’Fallon Technical High School in St. Louis. She was first married to a part-time car salesman briefly after her senior year of high school. The marriage survived five years. She claims that her husband repeatedly philandered her and convinced her to steal payroll checks from her employer.
They used the money to go on a vacation to California. She says that she repaid the money years subsequently. Meyer visited local bars prior to meeting Dave Meyer, an engineering draftsman. They were married on January 7, 1967.
