Kyle Chandler will be seen in the upcoming new movie ” Slumberland” as the lost father of the character ”Nemo” streaming on Netflix.
Chandler an American actor ( September 17, 1965) joins the film off of his recent performance in ” Godzilla”, ”Loving Highsmith”and” The Midnight”. ”Slumberland” is a fantasy drama directed by Francis Lawrence alongside Jason Momoa which is based on the comic strip, Little Nemo in Slumberland, by Winsor McCay.
Kyle Chandler New Movie Release Date
Slumberland is set to be released on the streaming platform Netflix on November 18th, 2022. The film was written by David Guion and Michale Handelman.
Slumberland movie is about an orphan girl who discovers a secret map to the dream world of Slumberland. Chandler plays the role of Nemo’s father Peter who goes missing at the sea according to Nemo. This movie is all about the journey of a young girl in search of her lost father.
Chandler will also be seen in the upcoming action comedy film ‘Back in Action alongside Glenn Close directed by ‘Horrible Bosses Seth Gordon. Director has high hopes for Chalender’s character in the movie. Back in Action is coming soon on Netflix.
He is best known for playing Eric Taylor in Friday Night Lights. In 2005 he was seen in the remake of ‘King Kong’, a famous epic monster film which has a huge success and won three Oscars. He has won an Emmy award for a film where he played the lead role.
Kyle Chandler Life and His Family
Kyle Chandler was born in Buffalo, New York. He was the fourth son of Edward Chandler and Sally Jeanette.
His father died of a heart attack when he was 14 years old. He had a very sad and difficult childhood. Later on, Chandler was moved to Loganville, Georgia.
He graduated from Gorge Walton Academy in nearby Georgia in 1983. After graduation, Chandler attended the University of Georgia, where he did course study in the field of drama and became a member of the class 1984 Sigma Nu Fraternity.
He was raised by his mother only. After 20 years of a successful acting career lately he was shifted to Los Angeles.
Chandler got married to Kathryn Macquarrie in 1995 at the age of 30 after having three years long relationship. They first met in the dog park and eventually fell in love with each other. They have two daughters Sydney Chandler, who is an actress, and Sawyer Chandler who works as a social activist. He simply has a good family.
Chandler owns several dogs and donkeys. He serves as a volunteer firefighter and also has been active in trying to end the practice of shark finning. He loves doing social work and serving needy people.
Career and Achievements
• In 1988 Kyle made his first debut on TV as a supporting role in the television film ‘Quiet Victory’ then he was seen in the next TV series ‘Tour Of Duty’ where he was playing the supporting role of a soldier which was based on the event of Vietnam War.
• From 1991- 1993 he was seen as the lead actor in the TV series ‘Homefront’ which earned two golden nominations and won two Emmys awards. This series helped him to gain more popularity and success.
• In 2005 he appeared in two different TV series ‘Early Edition’ and What About Jane’. He was playing the lead role of a man with the power to prevent natural disasters in ‘Early Edition’.
• He played supporting roles in several movies including ‘King Kong’ (2005), ‘The Kingdom’ (2007), and ‘The Day the Earth Stood Still’ (2008).
• In 2012, he appeared in the Oscar-winning film ‘Zero Dark Thirty ‘ and in 2013 , he appeared in several films such as ‘Broken City’ and ‘The wolf of Wall Street’. Both films also earned Oscar nominations.
•In 2015, he played the lead role in the drama series ‘Bloodline’ where he played the character of a detective in the show. He was again nominated for Emmy awards through this drama.
