Kira Sergeyevna Plastinina (Russian:?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? In Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Belarus, China, the Philippines, and Armenia, she has over 120 shops. Sergei Plastinin, her father, is a multimillionaire and the former CEO of Wimm-Bill-Dann, a major dairy company. He put a lot of money into his daughter’s vision. They collaborated to establish shops in Europe and the United States in May 2008.

Plastinin invested almost $80 million on 12 shops throughout the United States, none of which survived long. He paid Paris Hilton $2 million to attend Plastinina’s Russian fashion show, and he hired Chris Brown to sing at her opening party in Los Angeles. On January 2, 2009, her company, KP Fashion Co., filed for chapter 7 bankruptcy protection. Her father blamed the recession for the company’s failure in the American fashion sector.

“It had nothing to do with the fact that the clothing were unattractive,” the Los Angeles Times quipped. Plastinin further said that his daughter’s European shops were still profitable and therefore unaffected. They were, however, closed much too soon. The majority of her stores are now in Russia and other Commonwealth of Independent States nations.

Kira presented her new high-end collection, Kira Plastinina Lublu, during Milan Fashion Week on September 27, 2008. Plastinina is a student at Dallas’ Southern Methodist University. On August 28, 2013, she launched LUBLU, her new U.S. Flagship shop in Dallas, TX, in the Plaza at Preston Center.
