Former chairman of the Mahindra Group and well-known Indian businessman Keshub Mahindra. Due to his recent passing at the age of 99, he has been in the headlines.
He was born in Shimla, British India, on October 9, 1923. He attended Wharton at the University of Pennsylvania after finishing his education there, where he earned his degree.
In 1947, Keshub joined the Mahindra Group, a business his father, J. C. Mahindra, helped co-found. In 1963, he was appointed chairman.Before retiring in August 2012 after 50 years as the group’s chairman, Keshub passed the chairmanship to his nephew, Anand Mahindra.

Keshub and Sudha had three children together and a wonderful marriage. Their oldest child, Uma Ranjit Malhotra, served as a director for two businesses, Randil Trade Company Private Limited and Arjun Transport Co Pvt Ltd. Their second child, Leena, is wed to Sanjay Labroo. Even though they were well-known, Sudha and Keshub remained private people.
