Kendric Davis parents are John Davis and Patricia Harris Davis. The couple has been married since 1993. 

Also, both of his parents have always believed in their son and the accomplishments that will result from his passion for basketball.

John drove a truck for a living. He and his wife were about to celebrate their 29th wedding anniversary before the unfortunate incident occurred.

While John was on his way to return a truck that he borrowed and headed to the Dallas-Forth Worth area, he disappeared and never returned. And about a month later, Harris said the truck was found in Love’s gas station parking lot in Mount Vernon in Franklin County. 

His Father also had an Instagram page where he had posted some videos referencing his profession as a truck driver. The videos were uploaded a month before his sudden disappearance. 

John Davis

Kendric’s father John Davis always believed that Kendric had the potential to become a Conference Player of the Year.

On Feb. 23, 2022, at Moody Coliseum in Dallas, Kendric turned his father’s belief into reality. But his father wasn’t there to relish his victory, as he disappeared in late 2021. 

Kendric last saw his father on October 2021, when John came to stay with him in Dallas for a short while, as per the Dallas Morning News.

John was going through a rough patch with his long-time partner, Patricia. John kept his clothes in Kendric’s washroom closet during his stay.

John’s missing has weighed heavily on Kendric’s mind throughout the season. The incident happened right before the season began, and only a few people near him knew about it.

On Dec. 14, 2022, Kendric was getting ready for practice when he noticed he had about 20 missed calls on his phone, and his mother was calling him. When he answered, he heard her crying on the other end. Kendric immediately thought it was news about his father.

There is mounting evidence that something terrible has happened to John. Early in November 2021, John’s 18-wheeler trailer was found in Pittsburgh, 120 miles east of Dallas. However, the truck that went with the trailer was still missing. 

Earlier in March 2022, the truck was found near Mount Vernon, about 25 miles northwest of Pittsburgh, but John was not located. The Davis family received a box of John’s clothes and personal belongings in the mail.

Patricia Davis

Kendric mother Patricia Harris Davis is often on the stand cheering for her baby boy while he plays for the Memphis in the court.

His mother has shared many postings following his success, including recent images after her son, Davis, scored 31 points in the American Athletic Conference tournament final game over No. 1 Houston, 75-65.

The delighted mother shared the image with a lengthy statement expressing her pride in her son’s accomplishments and thanking those who have been with Davis since first grade and supported him throughout his journey.

In addition to her post about her family and boys, she also included photos of her spouse, referring to him as her first love. She has even sworn to one day find him, no matter what.

In addition, she is active on Instagram under the handle @150_justnanae with around 2529 followers, and her bio has a motivating paragraph with a news link including information on her husband, John.

Kendric grew up alongwith his two sisters and a brother in Houston Texas. 

Although there is no detailed information about the names and professions of his siblings, pictures on Patricia’s Facebook page show that Kendric has an older brother who is married with children, and two younger sisters.

Kendric’s family can often be seen cheering on Memphis and supporting Davis in the stands.

They also spend the holiday together, as evidenced by a photo posted by Patricia on December 26, 2022, which showed her family with her children and grandchildren. In the caption, she mentioned the absence of her husband, John.

Corinthian Langston Taylor

Davis and Corinthian Langston Taylor are cousins who grew up together. They were both competitive and developed a rivalry early on, which their mother had to discipline. 

They played on the same basketball team until the 2020 season was annulled due to COVID-19. Langston became Kendric’s rebounder, and Kendric visited him often in Houston.

However, on December 13, 2022, Langston passed away in his home. When Kendric received the news, he was devastated and broke down in his closet. The SMU coach and other coaches came to Kendric’s home to offer support.

Despite the tragedy, Kendric played one of his best games of the season just a week later, scoring 33 points against New Mexico. 

However, he has faced other difficult moments, such as losing another family member to COVID-19 and his grandmother being diagnosed with breast cancer on his birthday. Kendric also had to miss a game due to an ankle injury on his dad’s birthday.

Kendric Davis has a son Kendric Davis Jr born on 22 June 2021. Even though he had nine months to prepare for it, he didn’t fully understand how it would impact him until it happened. 

Kendric says that now he no longer thinks about himself. His son is his priority, which has become essential in his life. 

He believes that becoming a father has taught him valuable lessons that helped him perform at his best in the 2021 season.

Who Is Kendric Davis Jr. Mother?

Davis Jr. was born to mom Aliyah Harrison. The Dallas Morning News has noted that instead of taking the risk of turning pro, Kendric Davis prioritized stability for his family’s first year as parents with Aliyah, Junior’s mother.

Besides, the Facebook activity shows his current relationship with a woman named Auiyisiana Manor, who works as a cashier and salesperson at Journeys.
