Upon her graduation from the university, Kellie began her career as an anchor when she became the morning anchor for KJCT-LP, an ABC-affiliate in Grand Junction, Colorado.
She received radio experience, delivering the morning news on KRDO AM radio, which serves the Colorado Springs area.
In 2007, Kellie became the main journalist for the evening newscast for KWGN-TV, a station based in Denver, Colorado. After four years, she moved to Sacramento, where she joined KCRA 3’s evening news team, anchoring at 6 pm and 10 pm.
Since joining KCRA, Kellie has investigated and reported Northern California’s top tier breaking news stories.
She also traveled to the United States, covering nationwide events such as multiple Super Bowls, the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, as well as the movie theatre mass shooting in Aurora, Colorado.

“After much consideration, planning and advice from some wonderful mentors, including my general manager at KCRA, I’ve decided to do something I’ve always dreamed of doing,” DeMarco wrote on Instagram. “Since I’ve already jumped out of an airplane, rappelled down a skyscraper and swam with sharks in my early days of TV. … I’m doing the next big thing. … I’m thrilled to be starting my own business in the new year!”
