In 2020, the biopic Padma Shri Kaur Singh, starring producer Karam Batth as Singh was planned for release.
The movie emphasized how uninterested governments were in distributing the prizes they declared.
Due to COVID-19 and subsequent conflicts with other movie releases in 2022, the release of the film was postponed.
In an interview, Karam Batth stated, “It was scheduled to release on July 8, but Shareek 2’s producers changed the date to the same Friday. Given that the two films are so different, I was okay with it.
