Katie Nordeen Biography

Katie Nordeen is an Evening News anchor at FOX8. She joined the FOX8 Evening News in January 2013. Katie has been serving as an anchor of the station’s morning newscast since September 2011 and joined the station in 2010. She came to the Triad from Duluth, Minnesota, where she had worked as a reporter and anchor after studying broadcast journalism.

Nordeen is very active in Special Olympics and is honoured to be on the Special Olympics North Carolina Board of Directors. Katie’s passion is inspired by her niece Eleanor who has special needs.

Nordeen Katie joined the FOX8 Evening News as an anchor in January 2013. After being an early riser for more than a year (her alarm went off at 1:30 AM!), Katie is excited to work on “this side of the clock.”

Katie came to FOX8 as a general assignment reporter in June 2010 before joining the morning team as an anchor in September 2011.

She got her start in Duluth, Minnesota in the US as an anchor and reporter. During her time there, Katie received a Regional Broadcast Emmy for her work as the weekend anchor. Katie also spent time in Boulder, Colorado. where she studied Broadcast Journalism at the University of Colorado-Boulder.
