Demetress Bell, their son, was born after he impregnated her. Bell’s grandparents sued him in court, demanding that he pay $200 each week in child support.
According to ESPN, a paternity test revealed that Malone is the child’s biological father. The court then ordered him to pay $125 a week in child support as well as past and future expenses to the family, which he refused to do.
Between 1988 and 1989, he allegedly resolved the issue with the Bells outside of court for an undisclosed sum.
