Jordan Chariton Career, FOX News
Chariton kicked off his career with first being an investigative reporter. He was hired by The Young Turks (TYT) network to run ‘The Young Turks Politics’, which was a wing in the network that was focused on on-scene reporting other than reporting from the main studio (in Culver City, California).
His on-scene reporting made him popular as he covered scenes such as the protests at Standing Rock (North Dakota) in 2016, the Flint water crisis (2014), and the DNC Wikileaks scandal. He also covered the Podesta emails (2016).
Chariton, before joining TYT, worked as a contributor for FOX News and MSNBC for four years. He was representing MSNBC when he covered the incident in 2012 when women’s rights attorney, Gloria Allred, accidentally publicly released her press email list. In addition, he also reported for TheWrap and TVNewser. He also reported for 92nd Street Y, where he was nominated for a Webby Award in 2013.
Jordan Chariton Leaving TYT
Chariton parted from The Young Turks on November 17, 2017, days after he was accused of misconduct in a contributor HuffPost blog post by Christian Chiakulas, which was quickly removed by the platform. Host Cenk Uygur alleged, in an online broadcast on November 22, 2017, that Chariton had misused company resources in promoting his former non-profit, Truth Against the Machine.
Chariton published a defense of himself declaring the innocence of all allegations, and intent to pursue litigation. On January 12, 2018, The Young Turks later revised their initial public statement saying in part, “we never said, or meant to infer, that he ‘stole’ anything from us. This chapter is now closed.”
Chiakulas also later apologized in an additional article on HuffPost for the way he used private information without permission in the earlier story. On 18 January 2018, HuffPost completely disabled their blogging site for writers due to abuse and unverifiable postings.

The Young Turks abruptly cut ties with reporter Jordan Chariton, after initially placing him on administrative leave following allegations of sexual assault. He was accused last week of sexual assault by Carly Hammond, an ex-employee at Truth Against the Machine, an organization he founded with the Young Turks in addition to his work.
Christian Chiakulas, a Chicago activist, first shared the accusations in a piece posted to the contributor’s section of HuffPost, a self-publishing website. The article was later taken down by HuffPost according to Chiakulas. These allegations prompted Truth Against the Machine correspondent Chelsea Lyons to take to Facebook Live to support Chariton’s version of events.
