Jonas Jerebko Parents: Meet Elaine Jerebko, Chris Jerebko

In 2015, the Boston Celtics acquired Luigi Datome and Jonas Jerebko from the Detroit Pistons in exchange for Tayshaun Prince. Later that year, he re-signed with the Celtics.

In 2017, Jerebko signed with the Utah Jazz, however in 2018, the team waived him. Later, he became a member of the Golden State Warriors, where he was successful.

He had a career-high 23 points against the Dallas Mavericks in 2018 while playing for them, and the following year, he hit the game-winning tip-in against the Jazz.

After leaving the Warriors, Jerebko signed with Khimki in Russia, but his contract was terminated in 2021 because of personal matters.

According to ESPN analyst Fran Fraschilla, Jerebko was one of the top five European talents in the 2009 NBA draft. Jerebko was ultimately selected by the Detroit Pistons, where he started his NBA career.

The reason he became a fan favorite was because of his tenacity and dedication throughout his first season. He was consequently selected to participate in the 2010 NBA All-Star Weekend Rookie Challenge and Youth Jam as a member of the Rookie Team.

He played in 80 games, and in a number of statistics, he was a top rookie in the NBA.

He then signed a contract with CSKA Moscow in March 2022, while the choice was criticized in his native Sweden due to the ongoing situation in Ukraine.
